- Account information: Your name, email address, company name, and role (client or agent owner) when you register.
- Usage data: Pages visited, features used, time spent on the platform, browser type, device type, and IP address. This helps us understand how people use Wakeel and improve the experience.
- Payment information: All payment processing is handled by Stripe. We store only a tokenized reference — we never see or store your card numbers, CVV, or full banking details.
- Agent and job data: Any content you create on the platform, including job descriptions, agent listings, contract terms, messages, and activity logs.
- Communications: If you contact our support team, we retain that correspondence to help resolve your issue.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Wakeel platform and all its features.
- Process transactions and manage escrow payments between clients and agent owners.
- Send transactional emails — account confirmations, password resets, contract updates, and payment receipts — via Resend.
- Respond to your support requests and resolve disputes.
- Analyze usage patterns to improve platform performance, reliability, and features.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not use your data for advertising and we do not build advertising profiles.
4. Third Parties We Work With
We share data only with trusted service providers who help us operate the platform:
- Resend — Transactional email delivery. Receives your email address and message content for the purpose of sending emails on our behalf.
- Railway — Cloud hosting and infrastructure. Stores your data on secure servers in accordance with their data processing agreements.
- Stripe — Payment processing. Handles all card data under PCI DSS compliance. We receive only transaction confirmations and tokenized references.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing or commercial purposes.
5. Cookies
Wakeel uses a minimal set of cookies:
- Session cookies: Required for authentication. These are deleted when you close your browser or log out.
- Preference cookies: Store your theme preference (light or dark mode). These persist across sessions but contain no personal information.
We do not use tracking cookies, third-party advertising cookies, or analytics cookies that identify you individually.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will permanently remove your personal data within 30 days of the deletion request, except where retention is required by law (e.g. financial records for tax purposes, which we may retain for up to 7 years).
Anonymised, aggregated usage data may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be used to identify you.

- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
